A replacement for Regis Philbin has been found, but who will sit next to Kelly Ripa on the new version of Live?
Kelly Ripa’s new co-host will be announced on Sept. 4th show
Since the departure of Regis Philbin from Live with Regis and Kelly last November, remaining host Kelly Ripa has welcomed 59 men and women to sit next to her and host the show. But a permanent new co-host has finally been chosen – and it is from that group of 59 co-hosts, the show announced Monday (Aug. 20).
On Sept. 4, 2012, Ripa will be joined by her new partner and a new era will begin for Live, which has been airing in some format, and under a variety of names, since 1975.
Ripa will kick off the new season of Live on Monday, Sept. 3, where she will solo host for the first time ever, and the next day the new team debuts. The guests that day include actress Claire Danes of “Homeland” and “American Idol” winner Phillip Phillips.
Who do you think it’ll be?
Update: Recent reports have fromer NFL star Michael Strahan as the frontrunner for the position.
