Lady Gaga reveals that performing on The Simpsons made her "more nervous than [she has] ever been"
Matt Groening promises crazy outfits for Lady Gaga during the May 20th episode
During her career, Lady Gaga has performed in front of millions of people all over the world. But it turns out the thing that really puts her on edge is something much less strenuous – reading for The Simpsons.
In an interview on Entertainment Tonight, the Monster-in-Chief says that while reading her lines for the show, “I think I was more nervous than I have ever been because I have so much respect for them.”
Gaga explains that getting asked to perform on the long-running animated series was something that she was “excited” to do. She adds that she’s always been a “huge fan” of the show.
As for the storyline, Gaga says that she comes to Springfield with the goal of making the town residents happy. It is here that she befriends Lisa and looks to give her hope again.
Of course it wouldn’t be a Lady Gaga appearance if there weren’t a number of wacky outfits. To this, show creator Matt Groening says he has something special planned.
“You think that her dresses in real life are crazy? Wait until you see what we draw,” he notes.
Lady Gaga joins The Simpsons on their season finale on May 20 at 8 p.m. ET.
