What to Watch This Week: May 13 to 18

From royal romances to classic literature, we round up our top 10 shows to watch this week

1. Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance – Sunday, May 13, 5 p.m. & 8:30 p.m., Lifetime

The whole world is in the throes of Royal wedding mania these days. As networks like Fox, NBC, PBS and even Smithsonian Channel air documentary specials about the historic matrimony of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Lifetime is getting in on the action as only Lifetime can, with an all-new TV movie dramatizing their courtship. Tune in tonight for a sure-to-be-soapy retelling of the unlikely fairy tale romance between American TV star Markle (played here by Midnight, Texas‘s Parisa Fitz-Henley) and her dashing prince (Victoria‘s Murray Fraser), as they shake up a monarchy with their love.

2. Little Women on Masterpiece – Sunday, May 13, 5 p.m. & 9 p.m., WTVS; 8 p.m., KCTS | Series Premiere

In her first on-screen role, Maya Hawke—daughter of actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman—stars alongside Angela Lansbury and Emily Watson in the three-part miniseries about four sisters and their mother, who take care of each other while their father is off fighting in the Civil War.

3. Carter – Tuesday, May 15, 5 p.m., Bravo | Series Premiere

Jerry O’Connell has a reputation ?as one of Hollywood’s nicest guys. Which means he technically belongs in Canada. And that’s exactly what’s happening thanks to his cheeky new series Carter.

O’Connell’s character, Harley Carter, was living the dream. After moving to Hollywood from small-town Canada, he became a huge star as a detective on America’s No. 1 TV show. But years in the limelight and an endless blur of parties, premieres and 16-hour workdays took a toll. A public showdown on a red carpet prompted him to return to his hometown to reconnect with his roots.

But as he tries to settle back into his old life, he finds himself playing detective for real with his childhood friends, police veteran Sam Shaw (Chicago P.D. alum Sydney Poitier) and coffee truck owner Dave Leigh (Orphan Black‘s Kristian Bruun). Together, they’re solving crimes in North Bay, Ontario.

4. New Girl – Tuesday, May 15, 9 p.m., City & Fox | Series Finale

The specifics of this week’s supersized end game are as follows: Winston? and Aly get married, Nick and Jess make “two life-changing decisions” and the gang reflects on their time together, which leads to one last instalment of their signature ill-advised drinking game, True American (really, how ?could it have ended any other way?)

5. Riverdale – Wednesday, May 14, 8 p.m., The CW & Thursday, May 15, Netflix | Season Finale

Black hoods, a musical episode, a deranged, long-lost half-brother… season two of the Archie Comics adaptation has been quite the journey.? It all comes to a head in the finale, which creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa promises is “complicated” and “dangerous.”

6. Inside the Royal Wedding: Harry and Meghan – Wednesday, May 16, 10 p.m., NBC

For months, ravenous Royalists on both sides of the pond have been devouring every scrap of news and rumour about the impending ceremony, as well as details about Meghan Markle, her family and who she’ll be wearing, while also lamenting the loss of their “party boy” Harry, who once upon a time could be counted on to give us headlines about playing strip poker in Vegas and the like.

Next weekend, the big day will finally be here, which means, in ?the days to come, there will be no shortage of coverage. If you’re looking to get it all in one place, this hour-long hump-day special should do the trick. Following last week’s Meghan Markle: An American Princess on Fox, NBC trots out a preview event hosted by Today‘s Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb. Inside the Royal Wedding will curate all the info about gowns, guests and so on that’s already out there, as well as any late-breaking tidbits that filter out. It will also feature interviews with close friends of the couple (though, if they’re willing to chat up the press like this, how “close” can they really be?), along with many fashion experts, sports stars and celebrities who are just as obsessed as the rest of us.

Of course, true fans should also ?be sure to tune in to Today on Friday morning; the show is dedicating all four hours of its broadcast to live coverage from Windsor, where Guthrie, Kotb, Megyn Kelly and Kathie Lee Gifford are setting up shop at an exclusive location overlooking the castle.

7. Citizen Rose – Thursday, May 17, 5 p.m. & 11 p.m., E!

Following a two-hour premiere back on January 30, E! begins unveiling the last four episodes of this docuseries tonight, chronicling the painful yet triumphant post-MeToo journey of actress Rose McGowan (Charmed), ?who emerged as one of the key figures in the fight against sexual misconduct in Hollywood after coming forward with allegations of rape against film mogul Harvey Weinstein.

8. Grey’s Anatomy – Thursday, May 17, 7 p.m., CTV; 8 p.m., ABC | Season Finale

There have been too many character departures to count over the lifespan of this medical drama, but as the show looks towards its already-confirmed 15th season, this week says farewell to two more in Jessica Capshaw (Arizona) and Sarah Drew (April), who won’t be returning next year.

9. Once Upon a Time – Friday, May 18, 8 p.m., ABC; 10 p.m., CTV2 | Series Finale

In tonight’s series finale, basically the entire gang is getting back together, as Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas and Emilie de Ravin return for a heartfelt farewell. Who else is stopping by? Who isn’t? So far, Robin Hood (Sean Maguire), the Little Mermaid (JoAnna Garcia- Swisher), Cruella de Vil (Victoria Smurfit) and even young Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) are rumoured to be back, along with original recurring players Grumpy (Lee Arenberg), the Blue Fairy (Keegan Tracy), Geppetto (Tony Amendola) and Granny (Beverley Elliot).

10. Hawaii Five-0 – Friday, May 18, 9 p.m., Global & CBS | Season Finale
