From Broadway's big night to a Kardashian feud, we round up our top 10 shows to watch this week
In a world where chefs have become rock stars, ?it seems like every network is hungry to find the next renowned foodie. Luckily, we have Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay to weed out the pretenders.
Famous families: they’re just like you and me! Steve Harvey returns to host the fourth season of this star-studded spinoff, with 10 new matchups to keep us in stitches all summer long. First up is a classic showdown between reality-TV in-laws the Kardashians and the Wests, who go head-to-head for a big cash prize (which, of course, is ultimately donated to charity).
Hosted by charismatic crooners? Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles, CBS’s telecast of the 72nd Annual Tony Awards will see legendary performer Chita Rivera—along with British composer Andrew Lloyd Webber—receive a special Tony honour for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre.
Get ready for a second season of this revival of the classic game show in which celeb guests must determine which one of three contestants is telling the truth while the others lie through their teeth. The season opener features panellists Octavia Spencer, Dermot Mulroney, Nikki Glaser and Gabby Douglas.
Internationally beloved Canadian twins Jonathan and Drew Scott have been in our houses so much over the years that it feels like they might actually be members of everyone’s family. It’s what’s made them two of HGTV’s biggest stars. And this six-episode season of Brother vs. Brother takes their sibling rivalry to a whole new city: San Francisco. They’ll work to turn selected houses into gorgeous flips—hoping to outdo each other when it comes time to finally sell them. The brother who makes the most profit (which goes to charity) gets bragging rights for the entire year. And each? week, as a portion of the house gets completed, it gets judged by fellow HGTV Canada stars such as Egypt Sherrod (Flipping Virgins), Bristol and Aubrey Marunde (Flip or Flop Vegas), and Scott McGillivray (Income Property). The winner of these weekly challenges earns such great experiences as a visit to Star Wars hub Lucasfilm and the home court of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, while the loser gets to, for instance, clean the giraffe pen at the Oakland Zoo.
This unique father-and-son travel series kicks off its third season as rock icon Ozzy Osbourne and son Jack continue to visit historically significant destinations throughout the U.S. This time out, Jack and Ozzy are joined by sister Kelly as they pilot an RV from L.A. to Florida.
Gordon Ramsay has screamed on TV. A lot. He has taken restaurants on the brink of closure and made them success stories. He has tried to help those who can’t be helped. But on his new show, 24 Hours to Hell & Back, the celebrity chef with 16 Michelin stars under his belt does something that gives him newfound joy, he goes undercover. I feel a bit naughty, chuckles Ramsay, about disguises so elaborate they even fooled his wife of two decades, Tana Hutcheson. While Ramsay gets a kick out of being unrecognizable, the disguises serve a purpose other than just amusing the star of shows like Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Hell. Being incognito allows Ramsay ?to surprise restaurant owners like never before. The meal from hell at the start of every episode will result in Ramsay removing his disguise on the spot, addressing the issues at the establishment and—in just one day—retraining the staff, redesigning the space and creating a revamped menu in time for a next-day relaunch.
In the finale of the Danger Island saga, Archer and co. enter a? deadly temple on a quest for an ?even deadlier treasure and make a (probably also deadly) discovery. The show returns for its 10th and possibly final season next year. Expect creator Adam Reed to ditch Danger Island for yet another wholesale reinvention.
Following the adventures of a terminally ill young woman whose live-for-the-moment philosophy is cramped when her doctor tells her she’ll make a full recovery, this series starring Pretty Little Liars‘ Lucy Hale will not be granted a second chance at life. It’s been cancelled after one season.
With a cloud of controversy hovering over The Ranch after the firing of co-star Danny Masterson in the wake of sexual assault allegations, Netflix has been more closed-mouthed than ever about what we can expect in season three. All we know for sure is that Masterson’s final appearance is in one ?of these new episodes, and although he’s not officially being replaced, The Ranch will at least attempt to fill the vacuum left in his wake. Dax Shepard is joining the cast on a recurring basis ?as Luke Matthews, who’s described as a former soldier who has come to Garrison with some history concerning the Iron River Ranch. What’s more, apparently Luke’s past has a way of catching up with him.
