A brand new contemporary fashion store comes to Gastown
Another one to add to the list is 017, which focuses on bringing contemporary designers from across the world to Vancouver. It presents an aesthetically pleasing shopping experience, where all the products are showcased in an art gallery setting. The space is also extremely versatile, making it perfect for public and private events.
The team’s vision was to get designers from different backgrounds, so that people can create a style that is memorable and unique to them. All the merchandise has been thoughtfully selected with high-end brands including Helmut Lang, Carven, Etudes Studios, and Matthew Miller.
017 also explores the concept of androgyny, encouraging women to find something from a male designer, and incorporate it in their personal style—and vice versa. The store is located on 302 West Cordova, one block away from the steam clock, and is open Monday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
