Vancouver Alpen Club Oktoberfest – Friday, Sep. 23 to Friday, Oct. 15

If you’re looking for an authentic Oktoberfest celebration, the Vancouver Alpen Club has all the bases covered: traditional German food, live music and DJs—and lots of beer. The club has also been known to host Oktoberfest-themed costume contests and beer-pitcher-holding contests.

Celebrate Oktoberfest in historic Steveston with a Bavarian street party. Check out the barbecue, Mercedes-Benz vintage/new show ‘n’ shine, giveaways, and—perhaps most importantly—the Bavarian-style beer garden at Steveston Seafood House.

Harvest Haus, Thursday, Sept. 29 to Sunday, Oct. 9

Harvest Haus will be transforming Queen Elizabeth Plaza into a tented German wonderland over two weekends (Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 and Oct. 7 to 9), featuring live music, traditional German fare and, of course, many a stein of bier (beer). Evening tickets sell out almost as quickly as they’re released, so your best bet is to get your hands on the afternoon seatings.

Port Moody Oktoberfest, Thursday, Sept. 29 to Sunday, Oct. 2 and Thursday, Oct. 6 to Sunday, Oct. 9

An authentic Bavarian Oktoberfest is coming to Port Moody with all the traditional favourites: fresh pretzels, wieners, bratwurst—and even the original Oktoberfest beer, Paulaner. And, of course, there’ll be singing, dancing, dirndl (traditional dresses), lederhosen (traditional short pants) und more!

Harrison Beer Festival and Oktoberfest Dance, Friday, Oct. 28 and Saturday, Oct. 29

Take a trip for this Oktoberfest celebration. The Oktoberfest Dance is one of three events happening during the Harrison Beer Festival. On Saturday, October 29, The Beer Barrel Band will play the soundtrack to the beer, pretzel and bratwurst-fuelled polka party in St. Alice Hall, located at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa.
